What is tech neck?
The argument no one ever got hurt watching TV does not hold true in this case. Tech neck is the nickname for when we look down at our phones, tablets, computers, and so on, the muscle memory of the shortening muscles kicks in and it pulls our head forward. When held in this “wrong position” over time it causes premature aging of the joints. In a profile of the head, the hole in our ear should set directly over the shoulder seam of our shirt. It’s held there by a very precise tension and strength ratio front-to-back.
