These symptoms may include pain, swelling, numbness, tingling, etc. We have learned the most effective physical therapy protocols to target the problem areas and heal the injury. Our unique treatment plans combine Chiropractic adjustments, Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy exercises, & other therapies such as mechanical traction, manual therapies, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic ultrasound.
Active Massage Therapy
Chiropractic treatment often proceeds with greater ease and less discomfort when the patient receives massage therapy before an adjustment. Those who schedule a massage before or after their chiropractic adjustment may be able to extend the amount of time feeling pain free. Almost everyone can benefit in a number of ways by combining massage therapy (a form of physical therapy!) and chiropractic care.
Recovery is normally faster when multiple components of pain are addressed.
Local massage is often used in preparation for adjustments. Massage relieves the muscle tension and warms up the soft tissues in the area, making joints more pliable and more easily adjusted. In addition to preparing the immediate area of concern, it helps you relax.
After the adjustment, massage can help remove any remaining tension from the manipulation.
If you think you could use a little more relaxation in your chiropractic sessions, talk to your doctor to see if chiropractic massage is for you.
